From Your Campfire to Your Bed: The Evolution, Importance & Relationship Between Dogs and Humans

The presentation, “From your Campfire to your Bed: The Evolution, Importance & Relationship Between Dogs and Humans,” will run from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Oct. 13. The Stones and Bones sponsored event will feature Sue Ware, a forensic pathologist and paleontologist from the Denver Museum of Nature and Science.

The presentation will discuss the migration and evolution of dogs. Topics will include certain types of duties that dogs perform, myths, legends, as well as famous and not so famous dogs.

Cost to attend is $20 for the class and $10 for lunch. To sign up by the Sept. 23 deadline, email Cindy Smith at cindysmithrocks@me.com or call 303-818-3084. Payments are due by Sept. 30.

For dinosaur enthusiasts of all ages, the museum features a stegosaurus skeleton, believed to be the first of its kind in the world was created from 3D scanning and printing. The stegosaurus, a host of other ancient fossils, animatronic dinosaurs, and a ropes course are part of the museum’s offerings.
