East Ridge Campground

East Ridge Campground, 20 minutes west of Cañon City, is the perfect spot to get away and still be close to the city. Near Fremont Peak, this campsite has beautiful views and is great for wildlife watching. With many hiking and mountain bike trails nearby, it’s the perfect hub for camping and outdoor activities.

Reservations

April 1 – October 31 reserve online at CivicRec or in person at the campground

November 1 – March 31 online reservations are closed and campsites are walk-in only. First come, first served. 

Fee

Campsites are $20 per night. This goes towards camp maintenance, monitoring, and repairs. 

Campgrounds

You will find 23 newly built campsites at East Ridge. Each is numbered and has either a trailer or tent site, fire pit, and picnic table. The campground has two vault toilets.

Surrounding Area

There are 22 miles of surrounding trails to explore around the campground. Try the close by Royal Cascade Trail, a 3.6-mile trail that descends a harrowing 1800 feet and connects to Tunnel Drive. If you’re on a bike, hop on Dream Weaver Trail and check out Maze Trail and Dark Side of the Moon to the south.
