The Bank

Those looking for a bit of a challenge combined with some breathtaking scenery should add The Bank to their plans. Located just north of Cañon City, CO, this trail doesn’t have any major obstacles but still clocks in with a moderate rating. The rocky surface will jostle you around for nearly the entire 7 miles, and the off-camber can test your resolve. The reward comes after climbing about 1,000 feet as the bumpy descent gives way to sweeping views of the valley and colorful rock formations below.

The Bank is a great year-round 4×4 destination, but do check conditions if you’re not used to off-roading in some snow. Secluded camping options can also be found all along the trail, so make it an overnight adventure.
