Royal Gorge rafting is for those who want the most whitewater thrills. As the Arkansas River narrows to only 25-feet wide, adventure-packed whitewater rafting trips wind their way through the 1,100-foot cliffs of the Royal Gorge. Famous for its steep drops, huge waves, continuous Class III to Class V whitewater, and spectacular scenery, Royal Gorge’s famous rapids thrill even the most experienced whitewater rafting veterans.

2:00 pm – 4:30 pm    

Flying through the air on a zipline at 40 miles per hour while harnessed to a steel cable is a pure adrenaline rush and the most exciting new family sport on the planet. Zipline tours consist of individual cables stretched over a rocky canyon 150 feet deep. There are hiking trails between takeoffs and landing platforms, though they aren’t very difficult to climb. These adventures have a very high thrill to skill ratio. Anyone can do it, but it takes a little instruction and practice to do it well.

Relax and relive your day over your favorite brew or other beverage of choice at the Royal Gorge Brew Pub in historic downtown Canon City.
