Climb aboard Colorado’s most scenic train for a journey through the spectacular Royal Gorge. Since 1879, these tracks have followed the winding, tumbling Arkansas River deep within the soaring, 1,000-foot granite cliffs of Colorado’s Royal Gorge.

11:30 pm – 12:30 pm

Lunch in historic downtown Canon City

12:30 pm – 3:30 pm

Take the short drive to Florence and enjoy the quaint antique shops. Florence is also home to several fine art galleries that present the work of many acclaimed artists and craftsmen.

3:30 pm – 5:00 pm    

Complete your day by sampling some of the wonderful wines produced in the region.  The tasting room and gift shop of the Winery at Holy Cross Abbey is open Monday through Saturday from 10:00 am until 6:00 pm (5:00 pm January through March), and on Sundays from 12:00 pm until 5:00 pm.

Enjoy your evening dining at one of the wonderful restaurants in Canon City followed by a delightful stay in one of the local B and B’s.
